James Webb Space Telescope

The James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) is a large, space-based observatory designed to observe the universe in infrared wavelengths. It is a collaborative project between NASA, the European Space Agency (ESA), and the Canadian Space Agency (CSA). JWST aims to study a wide range of astronomical phenomena, including the formation of stars and galaxies, the evolution of planetary systems, and the chemical composition of celestial bodies. Its advanced technology, including a large primary mirror and sophisticated instruments, allows it to capture faint light from distant objects, enabling scientists to explore the universe further back in time than ever before. The telescope is named after James E. Webb, who served as the administrator of NASA during the Apollo program and played a crucial role in the agency's early space exploration efforts.
